"C" - Carbon Wing
The C boats are available for any size of boats 1x through 8 . In the single the boat does not have a central rib and offers the rower more fore and aft adjustment of the pin. In singles it can be raised and lowered to the same degree as a K boat, but in crew boats it is again limited to around -/ 4cm of height adjustment. In crew boats the C riggers come with one set of ribs, and the boats lack the second set of ribs normally found at the centre of the slide. Empacher is the ONLY manufacturer as of 2005 to have both ribs and wings in ALL crew boats. this means that we build a boat with the strength and durability of having ribs, with the wing riggers that most builders put on boats with no ribs at all. The rigger is made from pressed carbonfiber with a foam core and are absolutely beautiful. Crew boats require extra riggers to switch from port/starboard stroked. All C boats come standard with backstays, even though you don't have to have them on in a single.
